PLACES

PLACES is a supportive programme run by two specialised practitioners who work with students one-to-one or in small groups. They help children manage their emotions and improve their well-being, especially when they’re dealing with things like anxiety, grief, or friendship issues that can affect their learning.
The aim is to remove barriers to learning by building confidence, self-esteem, and better social skills in a safe school environment. PLACES also takes a whole-family approach by offering support and guidance to parents where needed.
By providing tailored sessions, PLACES helps students build emotional resilience and stay engaged with school. Whether a child is coping with bereavement, anxiety or social challenges such as bullying or poor attendance, the programme gives them the tools to understand their feelings and feel more confident. In doing so, it helps create a more positive and successful school experience for both the child and their family.
