On Tuesday 3rd February 2026, The Mayflower entered two teams into the Tendring District Seated Volleyball Tournament at St Claire’s Primary School (Clacton). Mr Whittingham and Mrs Powell each took charge of a team. Mr Whittingham’s team brought home ‘the gold medal’ - while Mrs Powell’s team came fourth, narrowly missing out on bronze. 

They all enjoyed the opportunity to take part in a different event, and have subsequently purchased four volleyballs. Mr Keeys' team are ‘super excited’ to be representing Harwich at county finals, which will be taking place in Basildon on 4th March.
