On Friday 7th November 2025, The Mayflower took a mixed team of 11 pupils to Clacton Rugby Club to compete in the Tendring District annual rugby competition. This is always a huge event, with this year's edition featuring 9 schools from Harwich and Clacton. It was great to see pupils putting into practise the strong foundation they have learnt in their PE lessons, with some amazing

tagging, dodging and try scoring on display.

A huge thank you to Clacton Rugby Club for hosting such an enjoyable event. And also, to Polly Harrison - an ex-pupil and rugby superstar who has been coming in weekly to help train our rugby team.
