Mayflower picked up a fantastic bronze medal in the Tendring Primary Schools Girls’ Football Competition.

Up against seven other schools, Mayflower performed exceptionally well, fielding one of the youngest teams in the tournament. They reached the semi-finals before falling to penalties against eventual winners, Brightlingsea. However, they fought back from that disappointment to beat Chase Lane and secure third place.

A massive well done to the girls who took part and showed skill, determination and an eye for goal.

A huge thank you to Richard Hunt and Colne Community College for putting on this event.
