On Thursday 13th November 2025, The Mayflower took a mixed team of KS2 pupils to participate in a basket event run by the Essex Rebels. Over the course of the afternoon, The Mayflower played a total of 4 matches. We started strong with a convincing 16:2 win against St Georges. However, we left ourselves with a lot of work to do against Frobisher in our last game - having lost two close matches to Engaines and St Osyth. To much delight, our team managed to secure a 2nd win of the afternoon (16:6), and secure a bronze medal finish.

This is the second consecutive year this event has been hosted at Essex Univeristy, and is a venue that the children really enjoy visiting. A huge thank you to The Essex Rebels for hosting. We hope to bring a group of pupils down to watch one of your games shortly!
