On Friday 9th January 2026, The Mayflower entered a team into Colchester United ‘s PLPS U11’s Girls Football Festival. There were a total of 16 schools that took part in the event. The Mayflower were undefeated in our initial group, proceeding to the semi-finals. Unfortunately, narrow losses in both the semi-finals and consolation playoffs resulted in us coming 4th.

This is the 4th consecutive year that we have entered this event, and this is our highest ever finish! All 9 girls were rightly proud of their performance. A huge thank you to Luke Drysdale and Colchester United for hosting this event. We have already put next year's event into our calendar!
