Staff Changes at Mayflower

Hello / Goodbye!!
We are sad to be saying a fond farewell to some of our teaching staff this year.
Mrs Dowman is moving to a school in Colchester, Mrs Harnett is (very excitingly) going to teach abroad, Mrs Day is moving back to her first love  (secondary school!) and Miss O'Donnell leaves us to start her family.
However, we also welcome three shiny new teachers to the Mayflower team: Miss Larue joins us and will be leading Upper School (Years 4, 5 and 6), Miss Van der Zanden and Mr Snelling also join us teaching in upper school. We also welcome Miss Helen Smith, who joined us this week as a new member of the support staff team.
All Change!!
Mrs Allday is going to lead Lower School (Years 1, 2 and 3) and will be teaching in Year 1 with Miss Brennan.
Miss Oddi and Miss Lilley will be teaching Y2; Mrs Simmonds and Mrs Turner move to Year 3; Miss Larue and Miss Vander der Zanden will teach Year 4; Miss Carter (who will become Mrs Haveron over the summer!) and Mrs Black will job share in Year 5 with Mr Snelling also in Year 5; and Ms Howard and Miss Fox will take Year 6.
EYFS remains unchanged.
Front of House!!
You may also have noticed a few changes to the Office Team - we said farewell to Mrs Flatt last week, who retired as Bursar after 28 years at Mayflower (more on that in the newsletter) and we welcome our very own Mrs Cochrane into the role of Finance Manager as Mrs Flatt's successor and our very own Mrs Rainbird has moved into the office in Mrs Cochrane's old position!!
Are you keeping up??!! Same 'old' friendly faces, just not necessarily in the places you'd expect them!
An exciting start to the new academic year!!
Kind regards
